A Servant's Heart
Dedicated to the One who called him by name.
Allows his life ever to be changed.
Realizing he must present a Servant' Heart.
Obedience to his Master in truth will he impart.
Not intimidated by the challenge he faces,
Will show Christ's love in far off places.
Holding in his heart words written in the Bible,
In deeds towards others he knows he is liable.
Service to the Lord is his heart's intent.
Ministering to others is where his time is spent.
Always wanting and willing to do his part,
Nothing will change his desire to have a
Servant's Heart.
Tracy L. Stone ~~1992
How often do I show a servant's heart? Yet, that is what the Lord asks of me. It is my daily prayer that I have the willingness to be a servant to those around me. Not to be a doormat, but to be a blessing and encouragement to each person I come into contact.
Until next time~
Blessings to you~~

Well, I know that you are truly a blessing and an encouragement to me and for that I am so thankful and grateful to God!
"In deeds towards others he knows he is liable."
This line hit me and stuck. It is so true what you write here, and something that we absolutely cannot forget or put aside. Every single one of our deeds toward others, whether it is our family, closest friend, or person on the street we have never seen before, we are liable for the actions we take in our lives, and our actions will ripple far out beyond our ability to see their effects!
This is a great prayer for all of us, and it definitely helps us take our actions, and how we're living our lives, into stride, and puts them in the spotlight - will we seek to hide blemishes, or will be put ourselves forward as we are, flawed, and continue to work toward His glory alone?
Thank you so much for sharing, it is something I will definitely keep for myself to remind me when I need it!
beautiful. So while you were writing Godly poetry...lol I was having a baby! Figures!
It's lovely - how did the dr's go today?

We are servants one to another and if we maintain that belief and let our actions follow, we will be doing as Jesus commanded: Love thy neighbor as thyself.
