Last night was the first night of my lifelinks group at Dennis & Marty's house in North Buffalo. The plan for the night was to pick out a Bible study for the next 8 months. The evening started with everyone arriving with food for the potluck dinner we would be having. This year about 15 people came out to the house for fellowship. This was a lot more than last year. It was nice to see so many people wanting to be committed to growing together in their relationship with Jesus and with others.
We started off the evening with prayer. We lifted up the evening and asked God for His direction on what study He wanted us to learn from. We decided on a series based in Genesis by Ken Hamm. It should be good. After prayer we had dinner. Everyone brought a delicious meal to pass. It truly was a smorgasboard of foods. We all enjoyed one another's fellowship along with the delicious food we were able to partake of.
It was a good evening and I am looking forward to getting to know the new people to the group. We are planning to do some community outreach and also some fun times of fellowship. I'll keep you posted on what happens.
