Bisons & Birthday Cake

On Saturday August 2nd, I met up with friends at Jackie's house. We were going to a Buffalo Bison's game to celebrate Colleen's birthday. The thought was that we would save money by eating a head of time instead of having to purchase park food at exorbitant prices. What a delicious meal we ate. One of the gang (can't remember if it was Jim or Jackie) grilled the hot dogs and hamburgers plus we had a lot of vegetables(including corn on the cob.) After we ate we headed to Dunn Tire Park where we met up with Phil Dean (he had to work). When we got to our seats, it started to rain. Great! It looked like it was going to pass & it did but not before we saw a beautiful double rainbow. The game was delayed by about an hour & a half. The game finally started around 8:45 and it was exciting. The Bison's got ahead by 3 runs but lost the lead in the top of the 4th inning.
Other highlights of the evening at the park included,1) my coworker, Jesse, stopping by and giving us peanuts. 2) My friend, Jenn, mooching french fries from the guy behind us. We have affectionately called him the "French Fry Guy." We were going to try & get a picture with him but he left before we thought about it. Oh, well! 3) Throwing peanuts to try and aggravate each other.
After the game we headed back to Jackie's so we could celebrate Colleen's birthday. Jackie had a special chocolate cake for Colleen. We put candles in it so Colleen could blow them out. Plus after the cake we had presents for Colleen. Presents are always fun. She was blessed.
The whole evening was a success.
Until next time!
Blessings to you
